What Grows in November

What’s still growing in the garden at this point in the year?

We’ve had unseasonably warm weather, and some warm weather crops held on for a surprisingly long time. (The pepper plants made it until this past week!)

But now that we’ve hard some actual frost, we’re down to the plants that are pretty cold hardy, and that means mainly cooking greens. Some of these greens can hang on well into the winter. Here are a few that are still going strong.


‘Lacinato’ kale. (Those aren’t weeds by the way, they’re cover crops.)
