There’s a dragonfly that’s taunting me. It keeps hovering in the most photogenic places. One day it sat directly on one of my bamboo stakes with its wings spread: It looked like a garden ornament, not a real dragonfly. But it’s too fast for me. So are most of the birds that visit my garden. There’s a cardinal I find especially irritating. I have so many pictures of his back.
But every once in awhile there’s a cooperative flying creature. This slow-moving, flower-visiting butterfly made my day.
