Rain, Collards, Cabbageworms

We’ve been getting lots of rain this week, which is wonderful. In fact it’s raining right now. All of the plants seem to be doing well and I haven’t had to water in days. The greens, especially, seem to be loving this weather.

In the photo below, I was really just trying to show the water droplets, but check out how surprisingly healthy these collards look! I have two different plantings, both of which have had major issues, but these plants seem to be recovering. A few weeks ago, the plants in this bed were almost eaten to death by cabbageworms, but I spent some time handpicking those little pests, and the effort seems to have paid off.
