Arugula Flowers and Bitter Greens

The arugula is starting to flower, so I did a quick search online and learned that yep, this is another edible flower. Here’s a link to a blog with some recipes: A few of the blogs I looked at noted that when the arugula is flowering, the leaves are bitter enough that they’re best when cooked. And yes, I’m finding that some of the greens in my garden are starting to get bitter– the mustard greens especially. So, probably time to start cooking the mustard greens and arugula rather then eating them raw.
