This is the second year I’ve started seeds under grow lights. As of this morning, there were 22 tomato seedlings growing under lights in the basement. I took six of them on a brief field trip outside so I could photograph them in better light.
I’ll need to move them into larger containers soon. At that point, I’ll start bringing them outside regularly, so they can start getting used to real sunlight. In the photo below, notice that they’re starting to form true leaves (as opposed to the first two big green leaves, which are the seed leaves). In other words, they’re starting to look like tomatoes!
