What Survived the Winter

Before starting on the garden for this year, a quick inventory of what’s already there from previous years. There’s a small flower bed with some herbs, and that’s all looking good. See the rosemary below, which overwintered nicely. We also have a separate strawberry bed, apart from the main garden, and there are a few plants in there that are looking OK. That’s the third year for the strawberry bed, and it should be in good shape, but I should also have used more mulch on it over the winter, so we’ll see how it looks in a month or two. The main garden area is a blank slate. I didn’t put in any perennials there, so it’s ready to start new this year!
